BLOTTER BARN PUBLIC SIZE FINE ART PRINTS
Extra large, deluxe prints that are created for large architectural spaces. These prints are limited to an edition of 50 per image. Prints are fine art quality, digitally printed on 100% acid free, rag paper using archival inks, and signed by artist Mark McCloud. Prints can be further authenticated by the presence of the 'Blotter Barn' and 'Dana Dana Dana' embossed impressions on either lower corner. Please allow a minimum of three weeks for delivery.

Mark's remarks: Also known as Nanook of the North, this large four way was the first to pay tribute to Dylan's epic Eskimo.

Traveling Pig - this print depicts a single hit that was originally issued circa 1990.

Mark's remarks: This enigmatic character was widely distributed throughout the U.S. around 1990. This little piggy from Blotter Barn's Iso Series, is sometimes called 'Leaving Pig'. He must be going on tour...
Barrel of Monkeys - this print depicts a single hit that was originally issued circa 1982. Iso series*.

Sorcerer's Apprentice - this print depicts a single hit that was originally issued circa 1977.

Mark's remarks: Probably the best known blotter of all time. Allegedly dosed with Sandoz. The ultimate psychedelic artifact.

Sperm - this print depicts a single hit that was originally issued circa 1979. Iso series*.

Mark's remarks: Look familiar? The DNA is probably yours, proving that we all swallow.

Circle Star - this print depicts a single hit that was originally issued circa 1981. Iso series.

Mark's remarks: This hit, said to be from the "Lone Star State" (Texas), resulted in many a "doggie" getting branded.

Alien Girl - this print depicts a four-way hit that was originally issued circa 1992.

Mark's remarks: Also called 'Liquid Sky' alluding to the movie, and the New York City skate board shop. Our plushiest item.

Orange Sunshine - this print depicts a four-way hit that was originally issued circa 1992.

Mark's remarks: Simple and direct, this is one of the more popular blotter iconographies. Alluding to the popular sixties acid pill.

Pharaoh - this print depicts a four-way hit that was originally issued circa 1983. Iso series*.

Mark's remarks: Following the King Tut show this was probably the most popular of the Egyptian revival pieces.

Gorby - this print depicts a four-way hit that was originally issued circa 1988.

Mark's remarks: Widely distributed in Europe. This is the Gorby that brought the Berlin Wall down! If you can't afford a Warhol this Blotter Barn Gorby is the next best thing.

Black Cats - this print depicts a four-way hit that was originally issued circa 1981.

Mark's remarks: These early four ways tried to appropriate the properties of the popular fire-cracker brand along with their logo.

Snoop - this print depicts two hits that were originally issued circa 1981. Iso series*.

Mark's remarks: This dog tries to remain incognito while enjoying an "illegal smile".

Tetragrammaton - this print depicts a four-way hit that was originally issued circa 1977. Iso series*.

Mark's remarks: These pre-perfed beauties may be the first sigil on blotter. Magical!

Mr. Bill - this print depicts 24 hits that were originally issued circa 1982.

Mark's remarks: Also known as Far L Phantasmals. This sigil recurs in different formats and colors. A powerful amulet!

Pegasus - this print depicts 100 hits that were originally issued circa 1984.

Mark's remarks: The great myth jumping the moon? Why not? LSD poetic licence.

Bunny - this print depicts 44 hits that were originally issued circa 1976. Iso series*.

Mark's remarks: One of the very first full color print, perfed pieces. This issue was cutting edge in its time.

Mark's remarks: Said to be printed with chlorophyll, and heavily dosed, both qualities that makes this a classic.

Albert Hofmann - this print depicts 20 hits that were originally issued circa 1984. Iso Series*.

Mark's remarks: The cornerstone of any serious blotter collection. Pulpy and imposing!

Archangel Michael - this print depicts 100 hits that were originally issued circa 2004. Iso series*.

Mark's remarks: Shows the current trend of the 'cut-along'. Reflects the perpetual fascination of the acid head with poetic justice.

Rosicrucian - this print depicts 24 hits that were originally issued circa 1990. Iso Series*.

Mark's remarks: These beautiful four ways were some of the best loved blotters of all time. Also one of the last four ways ever issued.

Masonic - this print depicts 24 hits that were originally issued circa 1990. Iso Series*.

Mark's remarks: Like the Rosicrucian but with very different side effects. Can you keep a secret?

Eye of Horus - this print depicts 9 hits that were originally issued circa 1983. Iso Series*.

Mark's remarks: First issued as gold on black paper cut-alongs in the late 70's. These large, perfed, black on white, four ways forced many initiates to their knees. Memorable.

Japanese Crests - this print depicts 50 hits that were originally issued circa 1982. Iso Series*.

Mark's remarks: These beauties were originally printed on both sides and came in their own estouche.

Texas Armadillo - this print depicts 6 hits that were originally issued circa 1978.

Mark's remarks: Paying homage to Jim Franklin, these "old school" four ways come in several colors, but in only one flavor: strong. Don't mess with Texas!

Jerry Garcia on Mushrooms - this print depicts 8hits that were originally issued circa 1983. Iso Series*.

Mark's remarks: Also known as Baby Ganja. This design was also issued in red with a stronger dose. Beautiful and enigmatic. SHPLOING!!

Mark's remarks: One hundred hits of sunshine make a strong aesthetic statement.

12 Album Covers - this print depicts 48 hits that were originally issued circa 1987. Iso series*.

Mark's remarks: These heavily dosed masterpieces from the Mouse-Kelley catalogue predominated the 20th anniversary of the summer of love.

Flying Saucers - this print depicts 400 hits that were originally issued circa 1982.

Mark's remarks: These recurring saucers (the first being from the '70s) seem to be a tribute to the Electric Light Orchestra saucer.

Mark's remarks: Beautifully arranged, these ants seem to be saying something... formication?

Blue Unicorn - this print depicts 100 hits that were originally issued circa 1980.

Mark's remarks: The Blue Unicorn was a cafe on Hayes Street in San Francisco that brought the Beats to the Haight in the early 1960s and converted them to Hippies. A masterpiece of alignment.

Mark's remarks: This Cockettes influenced piece celebrated LSD in the spotlight! One of Blotter Barn's favorites.

Astrology - this print depicts 500 hits that were originally issued circa 1981.

Mark's remarks: The first of the astrological series to appear. What sign are you? Slippery when wet!

Pink Flamingos - this print depicts 40 hits that were originally issued circa 1987.

Mark's remarks: A celebration of 10 different personality types on these magnificent four-ways.

Yes - this print depicts 25 hits that were originally issued circa 1980. Iso Series*.

Mark's remarks: These affirmative statements were embossed and perforated on rice paper. A pinnacle of blotter design inspired by the love of Yoko Ono and John.

Diamonds - this print depicts 400 hits that were originally issued circa 1975.

Mark's remarks: Back when the grams were still 4000 hits these large cut-along, four-ways were truly memorable. No blood on these diamonds!

Snowflakes - this print depicts 500 hits that were originally issued circa 1980.

Mark's remarks: These very popular cut alongs were issued simultaneously with the Dolphins. Both were extremely popular.

Bicycle Ride - this print depicts 500 hits that were originally issued circa 2000.

Mark's remarks: This millennial re-issue of the 1994 classic celebrating Albert Hofmann's fateful bicycle ride. European based.

Conan El Barbaro - this print depicts 1000 hits that were originally issued circa 1981.

Mark's remarks: This classic, known worldwide, is Mexican acid. May be linked to the current California governor.

California - this print depicts 500 hits that were originally issued circa 1985.

Mark's remarks: Perhaps this depicts California falling into the ocean? Obviously from the same hand as the Albert Hofmann print.

Gorbachov Sheet - this print depicts 520 hits that were originally issued circa 1987.

Mark's remarks: Although this print had an immense run it is rare to see a whole sheet...flaws and all!

Felix - this print depicts 900 hits that were originally issued circa 1992.

Mark's remarks: Whenever he is in a fix, he opens up his bag of trix.

Dolphins - this print depicts 500 hits that were originally issued circa 1980.

Mark's remarks: Sure glad we saved these Dolphins. Gold. Issued simultaneously with the Snowflakes.

Tin TIn - this print depicts 1000 hits that were originally issued circa 1994.

Mark's remarks: Nothing comes close to this European issue's playfulness. A must for the play-room!

Celtic Lotus - this print depicts 1000 hits that were originally issued circa 1987.

Mark's remarks: This overprint of the earlier Celtic Knot, (circa 1985) and the later Floating Lotus makes for the ultimate visual poetic of the coupling of east meets west.

Alice Through the Looking Glass (front) - this print depicts 900 hits that were originally issued circa 1993.

Mark's remarks: These red ones were 1000 mics.

 

Mushrooms - this print depicts 1000 hits that were originally issued circa 1991.

Mark's remarks: Widely consumed in Europe. Paying tribute to psychedelic fungus, mine hangs in the kitchen.

Clowns - this print depicts 500 hits that were originally issued circa 1981.

Mark's remarks: Computer set, and infinitely varied, these were extremely popular worldwide. Are any two clowns alike? This print is an example of the Artist's Proof phase of production and remains intact.

Bob Dobbs - this print depicts 400 hits that were originally issued circa 1980.

Mark's remarks: The format of this first Sub-Genius blotter suggests it was heavily dipped. 250 mics.

Japanese Seals - this print depicts 100 hits that were originally issued circa 1976. Iso Series*.

Mark's remarks: Ancient and graceful pictograms resembling genetic splices.

Globes - this print depicts 100 hits that were originally issued circa 1985.

Mark's remarks: One of the first computer set blotters, exquisitely printed and perfed.
* Iso Series, when a perfed print has been "dipped" there remains on the paper a chemical residue that appears as a brownish stain after the paper has aged and been exposed to daylight. We use the term Iso Series to distinguish between these chemically stained examples from McCloud's collection and the items that have never been "dipped". The Iso Series prints feature this staining and the effect it has had on the inks and pulp of the paper in high, photographic detail - stunning.
